  • It's my responsibility to manage the maintenance and repaires to our storage units and the the facility's grounds. I also manage the facility's moving and packing supply store.
  • I handle billing, leasing, and customer service for our tenants. I also plan and hold auctions of delinquent tenants propriety.

Shop Manager / Designer


  • It was my job to open and close the shop and conduct the daily operation of the business. I set up the cash drawer, did the merchandising of the shop's inventory and maintained the flowers and plants.
  • I checked our supplies and inventory and ordered for the shop when necessary from wholesale and retail suppliers. I did so by telephone, in person and online.
  • I handled all aspects of customer service such as complaints, problems and questions in person, by telephone and email. I was in charge of taking orders  from customers in person, by phone, off our website and by email. I also made sales in person to our walk-in customers. I assisted grieving and distraught customers in need of ordering flowers for a deceased loved one.
  • I was responsible for the operation, maintenance and management of Teleflora's Dove computerized sending and receiving ordering system. When the shop's computer crashed I re-installed the computer's software and re-installed Teleflora's Dove System's software to restore operations.
  • I designed and constructed fresh and silk floral arrangements for sale and the fulfillment of custom orders. I had a lot of repeat customers, that asked for me by name, to handle their orders. I trained all our new employees in sales, order taking, sending orders over the computer, delivery procedures and floral design.

  • I opened and closed the shop each day and conducted the operation of the business which was the sale of gifts and collectibles. I handled all aspects of customer service such as complaints, returns, problems and questions. I sold merchandise to customers in person and over the phone.
  • I was responsible for maintaining, cleaning, dusting and merchandising very expensive lines of gift ware and collectibles daily. I took the shop's end of year annual inventory of merchandise for tax purposes.

  • The museum contracted me to teach several art classes for children of 10 to 30 students each at the museum.  The Boys Club of America in Dothan, AL contacted me, through the museum to teach two art classes of of 30 boys each at their club house. 
  • I sold two pieces of my art work at two different fund raisers for the Wiregrass Museum of Art building fund. One of which was in the top 5 items sold raising $550.00 for the museum.
  • I was a museum trained docent and led museum tours for adult and children groups of up to 30 people at a time. I explained the art work's concept and a brief history of each piece and the artist who created it. 
  • As a museum volunteer, I assisted with removal and installation of exhibits, set up for show openings and fund raisers. I also did general clerical duties. I also worked the information desk where I assisted visitors with their questions about the museum

  • I trained employees in Alabama State Health Regulation compliance, food preparation, and customer service and sales. I also supervised employees in the performance of their daily tasks and duties. At times I was called on to prepare payroll checks and make bank deposits and I did so on time and a accurate manner.
  • I took orders over the telephone and at the counter at the restaurant and made sales in person  to customers in the flea market. I handled most of our customers questions, complaints and problems in person and over the phone with care and proficiency.
  • I ordered stock and supplies from wholesale suppliers for the restaurant weekly.
  • I purchased fireworks, novelties, souvenirs and gift merchandise for the flea market from wholesale suppliers when needed. I also purchased antique, collectable and used items from the public for re-sale in the flea market.
